Ames, Iowa AVA Convention Volksmarch

This was day 6 of the Walking Convention Events in Iowa. We signed up at Reiman Gardens and most the walk was on the Iowa State University campus.


Leaving the start we headed toward the stadium.


It was cool but not raining.

The G-Nomes are twelve-foot tall terra-cotta sculptures that stand atop each corner of the Molecular Biology Building. In each hand the figures hold X and Y chromosome rods.

After the walk we toured the Reiman Gardens. We really enjoyed the "Big Bug" displays created by David Rogers. The whole garden was wonderful!
